The 2025 ARIA nominations have been announced, setting the stage for one of the most competitive years in Australian music. At the forefront are Ninajirachi, Dom Dolla, and Amyl & The Sniffers, who lead the pack in a year that highlights both breakthrough talent and veteran performers.

Rising Producer Takes Top Spot

Central Coast electronic artist Ninajirachi (Nina Wilson) leads the 2025 ARIA nominations with eight nods. Her debut album I Love My Computer is up for Album of the Year, Best Solo Artist, Best Independent Release, and Best Dance/Electronic Release. The producer’s playful take on EDM has made her one of the breakout stars of the past year.

Dance Icon and Pub-Punk Heroes Close Behind

Global DJ Dom Dolla follows closely with seven nominations, including Song of the Year for Dreamin, as well as Best Solo Artist and Best Dance/Electronic Release, a category he has dominated in recent years.

Melbourne’s Amyl & The Sniffers return to ARIA prominence with six nominations, powered by their third album Cartoon Darkness. Known for their explosive live shows, the band is in contention for Best Group, Best Rock Album, Best Live Act, and Album of the Year.

Veteran Acts Still Strong

Adelaide’s hip hop veterans Hilltop Hoods and singer-songwriter Thelma Plum each earned five nominations, while RÜFÜS DU SOL, Missy Higgins, Royel Otis, and Folk Bitch Trio scored four each.

The Best Music Festival category makes its debut this year, reflecting the resurgence of live events post-pandemic. Nominees include Ability Fest, Beyond the Valley, Yours & Owls, Bluesfest, and Laneway Festival.

ARIA Hall of Fame Induction

Australian rock icons You Am I will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of Kylie Minogue, John Farnham, Missy Higgins, and Yothu Yindi.

The winners of the 39th annual ARIA Awards will be crowned on November 19, 2025, at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Gadigal Land.
