Kanye West Banned from Entering Australia After Visa Cancelled

Kanye West, the American rapper and producer who legally changed his name to Ye, has officially been banned from entering Australia. The decision follows the release of his anti-Semitic song “Heil Hitler,” which referenced Adolf Hitler and triggered widespread outrage.

The cancellation of his tourist visa means Ye will not be able to travel to the country with his Australian-born wife, Bianca Censori, who grew up in Melbourne. Censori was last in Australia during the summer, while West remained in Japan amid reports of tension in their marriage.

According to government sources, Ye had obtained a tourist visa valid for up to 12 months, but Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke confirmed on Wednesday that it had been cancelled. “He’s been coming to Australia for a long time and he’s made a lot of offensive comments,” Burke said. “But my officials looked at it again once he released the ‘Heil Hitler’ song and he no longer has a valid visa in Australia.”

The ruling bars West from joining his wife on visits home and adds to his growing list of controversies. Ye, the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, shares four children with her—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

West’s visa ban underscores Australia’s strict stance on denying entry to individuals whose actions or statements are deemed offensive or harmful. For Ye, whose career has increasingly been overshadowed by controversy, the Australia ban marks another dramatic setback.
